A lot of people ask how Tulsa Arcades got started so here's our story
My name is JC I started this company back in 2018. I had job troubles being laid off and my wife Michelle was diagnosed with Breast Cancer Stage 4 in 2018 and fighting her fight unable to work anymore. Our family became in a bad situation. I decided to think real hard about what I could do to help support my family during my wife's battle. Having my Photography job was not cutting it and with my wife's medical bills and other expenses, so I had to think of something else to bring in more income .
I started selling Arcade1ups locally in Tulsa which took off, Then I moved on to buying DIY arcade build kits and putting arcades together and selling those, After working with a local vendor in my area and not being able to get better deals + seeing some flaws in the kits I was getting, I decided to start manufacturing Arcades & Arcade parts myself to help provide better products and expand. So I studied as much as I could on how to operate a cnc, Then my wife and I put everything we had in on purchasing a 4x8 cnc router parts pro nema 34 DIY kit. Over a few months my friends and I assembled this cnc machine. It was a big kit took a while lots of bolts the entire thing was in boxes. After we got it up and running, we started cutting product and shipping shortly after around May 2019 and things went crazy from there quickly growing.
My family and I work hard to stay active in the community and feel customer service is very important. We also run the biggest Arcade1up modding Facebook group in the modding community and post a lot there and try and stay active with the community while we run Tulsa Arcades.
We build custom arcades locally in the Tulsa Area from our location and ship them out of state as well, We also ship aftermarket parts & DIY Arcade kits to customers in the USA . Our DIY Arcade kits have had a lot of thought put into them. We solved some of the major issues found in these DIY Arcade kits that other vendors sell and made improvements making them a better Making better products for the community is what Tulsa Arcades is trying hard to do. We have pedestal's arcades, Bar tops & stands, & uprights 4 player arcades & more
We listen to customer feedback & suggestions If you need anything feel free to call us M-F noon - 5PM central time. I or my family will answer our phones, we put customers first unlike some of our competitors that won't respond for weeks after taking your money, and we are open to the public in the Tulsa Area appointments.
Update to our story:
Michelle's cancer returned December 2023 Unfortunately Michelle lost her battle to cancer on this last fight. She poured her heart into driving this company with me, She helped me make so many products that people enjoy in their homes today. She leaves behind 3 wonderful children which I care for while running this company. She will be missed. Tulsa Arcades will keep on moving in honor of Michelle. Cancer sucks!
This website is now dedicated in loving memory of Michelle
